French Class
Today the Pusheens went online and took a tour of Paris. They went to the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, bakeries, small fashion shops, Musee d’Orsay, and Notre Dame. They were very excited and decided they wanted to learn French. Someday if they visit Paris, it would be good for them to speak French!
So luckily, Unicorn Stormy already speaks French. She is very fancy and already visited Paris. In fact, she visited Paris last summer! The Pusheens decided that she would be their teacher.
First, she told her “students” to call her Madame Stormy. “Bonjour les étudiants,” Madame Stormy said to the class.
“Bonjour Madame Stormy,” the students said to the teacher.
Today’s lesson was to describe things in the room in French. Madame Stormy gave an example: “Il y a une grande télévision.” Repeat after me, Madame Stormy said.
“Il y a une grande télévision,” the student Pusheens said. Surprisingly Donut had very good pronunciation! Maybe it is because she has already visited Ireland.
Madame Stormy continued, “Il y a une fenêtre.” Repeat!
“Il y a une fenêtre.” Donut looked at the “fenêtre,” the window. But Azul didn’t seem interested.
Madame Stormy said, “Il y a une plante dans le coin. There is a plant in the corner”
Azul didn’t say anything at all.
Madame Stormy said, “Azul, répéter!”
Azul sat quietly saying nothing.
Now a little angrier, Madame Stormy said, “Azul, répéter!”
Azul STILL sat quietly saying nothing.
Finally, Madame Stormy said in English to Azul, “Why aren’t you speaking in French with the rest of the class?”
Pip nudged Madame Stormy and said, “She speaks Spanish, not French! Otherwise her name would be Bleue instead of Azul!”
