All of the Pusheens know that I love ballet. So the Pusheens made a ballet club and the first class met today! Things did not go as planned!

At the beginning of class I told them that ballet was invented in Italy during the 1400s and 1500s. It was invented to entertain people. Louis XIV loved ballet so he brought it to his court in France. I told the Pusheens about Louis’s palace called Versailles and the hall of mirrors.

Slothy decided to play French music. He played the piano but since he’s a sloth he can only play six notes at a time and that limits the music!

Alice decided to be the teacher because she is the oldest Pusheen At the beginning of class, she told the Pusheens to stretch on the bar. That’s normal! That’s how you would start a ballet class! But their arms are very stubby.

Then, they tried to do splits on the floor. When they tried to do splits they just couldn’t do it. They tried to do first position, with their hands right in front. But, we discovered that Pusheens don’t have arms!

After, they had a 30 minute pointe class. But they couldn’t do that ether because they didn’t have pointe shoes. Because Alice is a Pusheenicorn, she used her magic to make pointe shoes that could fit Pusheens. They tried to go up on pointe but since they have four legs it was really hard.

So they thought jazz would be easier. For their next class they will learn about jazz hands. But…there may be a problem…
